Pacific Grove Triathlon
Racing to Save Lives

Leukemia is a devastating blood cancer. It is estimated that over 100,000 Americans will be diagnosed and 60,000 will die this year from leukemia and blood-related cancers. It is the number one killer of children under the age of 15. There have been significant advances made in cancer treatment, but there still is no cure. We have decided to contribute our time as part of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s ‘Team in Training’ program. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is a program that helps raise money to fight blood-related cancers. Raising the money and training for the triathlon was a challenge. But the challenge is nothing in comparison to the challenge that cancer patients have to overcome on a daily basis battling this disease.  Thanks for your support!
This is one of the back packs that we wore during the triathlon with the names of the donater-requested honorees.

We would like to say that this triathlon was a tribute to all cancer patients, not only the ones listed on our back pack.
